About ACGN
The African Corporate Governance Network (ACGN) is a collaborative network of director membership organizations that promote effective corporate governance on the African continent and now has 19 members and 9 affiliate members from 19 African countries representing over 20,500 senior executives and directors across the continent.
The mission of ACGN is to develop the institutional capacity of ACGN members for enhancing effective corporate governance practices towards building better private and public sector organizations and corporate citizens in Africa.
About The Award
As part of its strategic efforts to recognize and celebrate the achievements of outstanding industry actors; individual personalities and corporate organizations that have represented excellence in leadership, sound Corporate Governance practices and have also made significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Africa, the African Corporate Governance Network wishes to establish a competitive Annual Awards which would be called ACGN Corporate Governance Excellence Awards.
The overarching aim of the Awards is to champion professionalism and development of directors to pursue best practices in good Corporate Governance for the benefit of organizations and stakeholders and for the prosperity of Africa. This questionnaire seeks to solicit information from participants wishing to participate in the Individual ACGN Awards.
Expected Outcome
- To encourage professionalism in Corporate Governance by identifying and honoring deserving personalities and institutions.
- To create a pool of achieving leaders to encourage efficiency and commitment to high standards of Corporate Governance practices in public and private sectors in Africa.
- To deepen awareness of ACGN for membership growth.
